Guided Filter-Based Edge Detection Algorithm for ICT Images of Solid Rocket Motor Propellant

As the nondestructive testing method based on industrial computerized tomography (ICT) is widely used in solid rocket motor (SRM) propellant defect detection, demand for a corresponding image processing algorithm increasing. In order to extract better information SRM propellants, we studied edge detection their ICT images. This paper proposes guided filter-based images of propellants with much noise. The innovatively uses filters converge results type I edges good continuity II clear positioning. obtained III have and experimental show that proposed can achieve effectively.
